Photon Capital successfully reaches first close of Photon II

Photon Capital is pleased to announce the successful first close of its second fund, Photon II. With this fund Photon continues to build on its sector expertise in the broader digital landscape. The fund targets technical enablers of datacenter operations, network and connectivity platforms, cloud infrastructure, and adjacent companies that support the broader digital ecosystem. The fund targets companies with up to €5 million in EBITDA that show potential for international growth, professionalization, and consolidation.

Photon’s strategy builds on a decade of experience investing across these domains. Over the years, the team has developed a trusted network of industry partners, executives, and advisors across Europe, which now forms a strong foundation for the next generation of investments. This network allows Photon to move quickly, unlock proprietary opportunities, and assist companies in their long-term value creation.

The first close received strong support from existing and new investors and includes capital to facilitate the acquisition of OctoNona, a fast-growing (datacenter) connectivity platform. Photon II will target a subsequent closing later this year to capture the strong pipeline of opportunities.
