OctoNona further expands its pan-European connectivity platform with the acquisition of i4 Networks
Following the earlier acquisitions of Layer23, Atom86 and A2B Internet, this transaction marks the next step in OctoNona’s development into a leading pan-European provider of high-performance datacenter interconnect and business internet services.
i4 Networks is an internet service provider specialized in high-capacity and scalable connectivity between datacenters. The company has built a strong market position as a provider of Datacenter Interconnect (DCI), IP Transit and business connectivity, with a network presence across 59 datacenters. Leveraging advanced transmission technology, including a 400 Gbit+-ready network architecture, i4 Networks has established a leading competitive position for the years ahead. The company serves a broad customer base across sectors including government, healthcare, manufacturing and education.
The acquisition combines OctoNona’s leading IP transit capabilities with i4 Networks’ expertise in DCI, bringing together two highly complementary connectivity specialists. In addition, both companies offer cloud connectivity and business connectivity solutions. By leveraging each other’s network footprint, they can deliver their services across a broader geographic reach, while the technological foundation built by i4 Networks positions OctoNona for continued expansion across Europe.
